Industrial rope access teams firstly completed a full paint survey to the lower deck area of the south tower to varify that the paint was in a poor state of repair and required a full repaint.  Rope access teams undertook complex rigging of rope systems to allow the access team access to the full structural steelwork structure.  Once access was gained a full degrese and clean was undertaken, allowing the team to then undertake a full paint removal using hand held grinders.  Aluminium gantries were also erected and lifted into position to allow safe access for a dedicated painting crew to complete the more accessable areas of the south tower.  Once the paint was removed three coats were completed to the whole structure with each coat electrically checked for coverage.

Once again this contract was completed on time, within budget and with zero accidents which supports the statements made throughout the rope access industry that industrial rope access is the safest method of access for working at height.
