http://www.wembleystadium.com/ Confronted with the design of a safe system of works for the new stadium roof; HASL were involved with the new Wembley Stadium at design stage with advice and guidance given on steelwork configuration with the addition of welded cleats to the structural rafter beams. The cleats once installed at manufacturer stage allowed HASL technicians to access the structure to rig a series of running line systems and also provided points at which the safety net system could be anchored in the installation and dismantling processes. Once onsite HASL installed running lines along the sides of all rafter beams which further facilitated rescue operations should they have been required. Safety nets were then manufactured to fit the extra large bays and sub divided into manageable sizes. A series of ratchet straps were also installed between the bays to provide support for the safety net edges to be secured. This system of works also allowed for the fall height into the safety net system to be further reduced with the tensioning effect of the ratchet system. Whilst onsite HASL also provided a dedicated permanent rope access team, rescue stretcher and first aid equipment which were present on site for many months during roof works. Further extra involved the design and supply of temporary edge protection to EN 13374 Class A to all rafter beams which further provided a safe secure working environment for the cladding contractor. ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() ... ![]() |
